History of SNET
SNET, a Dutch-based clan, was founded around the time Counter-Strike: Condition Zero was
released.
In its early days, the clan had a strong and active member base built around the popularity
of the game.
However, as the player base began to decline and the original founders gradually stopped
playing,
the future of the clan became uncertain.
Leadership was eventually taken over by CATMIC, who shifted the focus of SNET into a more
casual,
community-driven direction. Under this new management, the clan evolved into running a fun
and engaging
GunGame server designed to keep players entertained.
To enhance the experience, custom music was introduced, adding a unique atmosphere to the
server.
In addition, several custom plugins were developed, including a Counter-Strike-themed
website where
players can track their stats and even "shoot" themselves up the rankings.
Each month, rankings are reset, giving everyone a fresh chance to compete. The top three
players,
along with standout performers in additional categories, are permanently recorded on the
website,
creating a lasting legacy within the SNET community.
