How GunGame works on SNET

GunGame is a fast Counter-Strike mode where everyone races up the same ladder of weapons. There is no buying and no bomb: every kill counts, and the first player to finish the ladder wins the map.

The basics

Everyone starts on level 1 with a Glock-18.
Kills move you up a level, and every level gives you a new weapon.
The ladder goes from pistols through shotguns, SMGs, rifles, snipers and custom weapons such as the Minigun and Bazooka to the HE grenade, and ends with the knife.
Get a kill on the final knife level and you win the map. The next map then starts and everyone begins again at level 1.

SNET weapon order

This is the exact order used on the SNET server, 35 levels in total. Besides the classic Counter-Strike guns, the ladder includes nine custom weapons: the Revolver, Double Barrel, Akimbo, Plasma Gun, Zapper, Crossbow, Minigun, Bazooka and Railgun.

Tips for climbing the ladder

Pistols (levels 1–7)

Aim for the head: pistols reward accuracy more than spraying. The Desert Eagle can kill with one headshot, so slow down on level 4. The Revolver on level 6 rewards the same patience.

Shotguns and SMGs (levels 8–17)

The M3, Double Barrel and XM1014 are deadly up close and weak at range, so push corners and stay out of long sightlines. The SMGs move fast; keep moving and take close fights.

Rifles, heavy weapons and snipers (levels 18–33)

The Scout (level 22) and the sniper levels near the end of the ladder are where many players get stuck. Hold a position instead of running into the open, and shoot when you stand still for accuracy.

HE grenade and knife (levels 34–35)

On the grenade level, throw into crowded areas and doorways. On the knife level, everyone wants you: use corners, approach from behind and strike when your target is busy.

Wins, PvP wins and rankings

Bots fill empty slots so the server is always playable, but the rankings are about real players:

A PvP win is a win earned while at least one other active player is in the match.
Bots are excluded from the rankings. Your stats update after each map change.
Rankings reset every month. The top players, top killers and top performers of each month are saved in the archive.

How to become VIP

Finish in the top 10 of the monthly rankings. VIP is given to the previous month's top 10 for the whole new month. VIP players get special in-game skins with a VIP tag, a VIP plate on the in-game GunGame podium and a gold name and badge on the website.

Rules

Keep it fair, friendly and fun: no cheating, no racism, no bug exploiting, no blocking teammates, no mic music, no advertising and no offensive sprays. Breaking the rules can lead to a kick or ban. The full rules are on the Information page.
