Custom maps download automatically
SNET plays a large rotation of custom maps. The server uses FastDL, so a map you don't have yet downloads quickly the first time you join it. If a download doesn't start, make sure custom downloads are allowed: open the console and enter cl_allowdownload 1.
Once you're in
The server is always playable: bots fill empty slots, so you can start straight away even when few people are online. To learn the weapon order and how wins are counted, read How GunGame works on SNET. The server commands guide covers map voting and rankings.
